One of the things I love best about travel is the endless opportunity to learn – before, during, and after the trip.
And the learning is not just for me – it is for my family too. If my kids are coming on a cool trip, I expect them to gain a greater understanding of where they are going. Yep, I’m that parent who pre-trip brings home a stack of books about our destination from the library to eye-rolls. Over time, I have learned to supplement the book stacks with YouTube videos, movies, and playlists.
When we travel, I also seek to find experiences that will inspire and teach us – and be fun. Whether it is a guided tour, a class, or a free hike through unfamiliar terrain to a stunning vista, we all appreciate the opportunity travel has given us to broaden our horizons and enjoy one more unforgettable family moment together.
I can’t wait to share our favorite travel learning resources.
